Size Guide

Are you wearing the right size? Things to consider when choosing your sports bra size!

1) Have you gained or lost weight in the last year?

2) When is the last time you were properly measured?

3) Have you had a baby in the last year?

THE BETTS FIT SPORTS BRA IS TRUE TO SIZE

If you feel confident you know your bra size, your best bet is to order the size you typically wear. If you are between bands aim upwards as they tend to run snug.

80% of women are wearing the wrong size.  Fear not, we’ve got your back. Follow below to find your size, or text, call, email with Catherine (510-502-5617), catherine@bettsfit.com (available M-F 9am-5pm PST).

Here's How to Measure

-Look in a mirror while taking your measurements

-Wear a light or no padding bra

-Use a measuring tape or piece of string

-Fully exhale then lightly inhale to get your measurement.

Betts Fit Sports Bra Measurement Instructions

BAND MEASUREMENT

1. Wrap the measuring tape (or string) around your back and under your boobs around your rib cage. The tape or string should meet in the center front.

2. Be sure that the measuring tape or string is totally straight around your body. Take note of this measurement, or make a mark on the string where the end meets the other side, then measure from the end of the string to your mark. Using the chart below, find your band size. BUST MEASUREMENT

1. Wrap the measuring tape (or string) around your back and across the fullest part of your boobs, usually right across the center of the nipple. Be sure that the measuring tape or string is totally straight around your body.

2. Subtract your band measurement from your cup measurement. Using the below chart and the difference in inches, determine your cup size. EXAMPLE - If your band measurement is 33” and your bust measurement is 39”, your recommended size is 34F (because there is a 6” difference between your band measurement and your cup measurement).

Sister Sizing

Now that you know your size, see which Sister Sizes may also fit if you want to try different sizes.

Even though a 32D and a 34D are both D cups, the size of the cups are different. This is because the volume of the cup changes with band size. This means that when you change band sizes you are also changing cup sizes.Sister sizes are different band sizes that have the same cup volume (e.g. 32C & 34B have the same cup size). Knowing your sister size allows you to keep the same cup volume while adjusting your band size.  Check out our chart below that shows which bra sizes have the same cup size. Look across each horizontal row to find a bra's sister size.

Perfecting the BF Sports Bra Fit

Now that you’ve determined your size & your sports bra has arrived try it on and test the fit. It should fit tighter than a regular bra, but you should be able to breathe deeply and comfortably. Take it for a spin around the house for a few hours & check the following factors.

Cord Lock Snap & Cord End:

In loose mode the cord end should easily fit in the pocket before the center core.  Snap the pocket closed. In max support mode you can either tuck the extra string and cord end in the pocket and snap closed or tuck over to one side behind the bottom band elastic & snap the pocket closed.

Hook & Eyes

It is best to start with a new bra on the loosest hook. Over time, the band will stretch and as it does, you should move to tighter hooks. This helps your bras last longer too!

Shoulder Straps

The Betts Fit sports bra is designed to wear in multiple settings.

Low Impact:  Shoulder straps should be loose in low impact mode for relaxed comfort.

High Impact: Shoulder straps should be tightened for max lift of the breasts for high impact support.

Bottom Band

The Betts Fit sports bra is designed to wear in multiple settings.

Low Impact:  The bottom band should be loose in low impact mode for relaxed comfort.

High Impact: The bottom band should be tightened for max support. When in max support mode, raise your hands over your head. If the band rides up, it may be too big.

Cup

Your breasts should be centered and fully contained in the cups. Scoop them in and center them. If breast tissue is pressed outside of the bra, that means the cup is too small.  Go up a cup size in this case.

The girls don't just move up and down but in a figure-eight movement: it's not just bounce we need to renounce, but multi-directional movement. That's why it's important to get the right bra style for your size and activity.

The BF offers both compression & encapsulation.

Encapsulation: supports each breast individually and gives you better support from underneath. The BF offers both encapsulation and compression so our busty customers can comfortably do any high-impact activity.

Support

Test the bra's support by jumping or running in place. Your breasts should feel secure and supported. If there’s too much movement up and down or side to side you might want to consider using our Bounce Band.

Compression: Our compression technology is patented & unlike any other the sports bra has firm yet stretchy fabric that presses the breasts against the body kind of like a hug while you run, jump, or hike.
